The Liberian Studies Association publishes the Liberian Studies Journal which is published bi-annually in June and December. The LIberian Studies Journal is currently edited by Amos J. Beyan (Western Michigan University). The Liberian Studies Journal is a scholarly journal dedicated to the publication of original research on social, political, economic, scientific and other issues about Liberia or with implications for Liberia. The journal is the second oldest African studies journal published continuoulsy in the United States
